Iowa Teacher Is Building Hundreds Of Desks For Virtual Students

A seventh grade literacy teacher in Iowa stepped in to fill a need he saw with students who are doing remote learning.

Nate Evans noticed some kids in online classes didn’t have a desk to do school work on, so he started building them for them.

His project has become “Woodworking with a Purpose” and he now has over 50 volunteers helping and they’ve built around 600 desks.
