This Saturday (9/19) is The Virtual Recovery In The Valley event.
The event, on zoom and Facebook, is a family-friendly event promoting prevention, treatment, and recovery.
It will feature musical entertainment and speakers from different paths of recovery.
One of those speakers is Ryan Hampton. Mr. Hampton worked in The White House as a college student from 1999 to 2000. A 2003 hiking accident would lead to addiction and homelessness.
In recovery, he has appeared on MSNBC, The New York Times, Fox and Friends, and more.
His book came out in 2008 and his Recovery Voices Vote was launched the same year.
We got a chance to talk to Mr. Hampton in this Connecting Hearts interview.
