Every month, the full moon has unique nickname related to that time of year. You know, like harvest moon! A cold moon happens right when temperatures drop and winter settles in. Right about now. So… get ready to see the Cold Full Moon on the night of December 11th into the morning of December 12th.
On this same night, Venus and Saturn will appear closer than usual… just 2 degrees apart, creating a conjunction or “planetary kiss”.
Even if you don’t stay up late on Wednesday, you can see a great moonrise. When the moon rises, it will seem bigger and more reddish. And you should be able to see Venus and Saturn’s “kiss” on the other side of the sky. And… it looks like the weather will cooperate for us to actually see all this!
