If you’re going to the Steeler’s game this weekend…

PennDOT District 11 is announcing traffic stoppages in the outbound (westbound) Fort Pitt Tunnel in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Sunday night, December 2.

Traffic stoppages of 15 minutes or less will occur in the outbound Fort Pitt Tunnel from one hour after the end of the Sunday night Steeler game until 5:30 a.m. Monday morning as crews conduct standpipe maintenance activities.

Motorists should consider the following alternate route:

  • From the Fort Pitt Bridge, traffic will take the ramp to North Route 837/Route 51 West End (Exit 69C)
  • Follow Route 837 (West Carson Street) to the West End Circle
  • Turn left onto southbound Route 51 toward the Airport
  • Follow Route 51 to Airport/Carnegie ramp to I-376 Parkway West
  • End detour
