NASHVILLE NEWS & NOTES – MONDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2018!

Sad news today out of Nashville.  Zac Brown and his wife Shelly are separating after 12-years of marriage.  In a joint statement, they said, “We have led a whirlwind life together growing into a beautiful family with five amazing children and while life will be rearranging a bit, our love and commitment to our family will always be there. They added, “Family comes in all different forms. We would like to ask that rather than commenting or spending any energy towards this, that you take this moment to send love to your family, in honor of ours.”
Sara Evans is spreading some holiday cheer.  Her “At Christmas” tour will launch on November 24th in Cincinnati and will stop in nine cities including Pittsburgh before concluding in Augusta, Georgia.  The tour is named after Sara’s 2014 album called “At Christmas.”  The ten song collection features holiday classics, as well as the original title track.
Dolly Parton is opening a pirate attraction at her Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge.  The show currently operates on the southern coast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  It features pirates battling on full-sized ships in a 15-foot-deep indoor lagoon.  Parton says, “The show has been so successful in Myrtle Beach that we kept looking at Pigeon Forge and wondering why we didn’t already have a Pirates show there.”  Site construction is expected to begin in January.
