NASHVILLE NEWS & NOTES – FRIDAY, JULY 27, 2018!

After 6 seasons and 124 episodes, “Nashville” aired its season and series finale last night on CMT.  Several plot lines were wrapped up including Deacon becoming a touring headliner, daughter Daphne signing a recording deal with daddy Deacon’s label, Scarlett getting engaged and Juliette and Avery reconciling their broken marriage.  The show ended with the entire cast and crew singing together on the historic Ryman Auditorium stage.
LeAnn Rimes is making her Hallmark movie debut this upcoming holiday season.   LeAnn will star in the new original TV movie and soundtrack, “It’s Christmas, Eve,” set to premiere on November 10th.  She will also embark on her sixth annual Christmas tour in December.
Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are reuniting on the big screen.  The trio is getting together for a sequel of their 1980 hit movie, “9 to 5.”  Fonda reportedly confirmed the reunion at a Television Critics Association press event, saying, quote, “Dolly, Lily and I are all intending to be in it.”
