Walker Hayes is heading back on tour next week after the sudden death of his infant daughter.  Oakleigh Klover died shortly after her arrival on June 6th.  She was Walker and wife Laney’s seventh child.  Walker announced yesterday he’d be returning to work on June 27th.
Dierks Bentley’s latest album, ‘The Mountain,’ is breaking records.  Not only is it Dierk’s  seventh number-one album, but it sold 102-thousand copies, beating his previous record of 101-thousand copies for ‘Black,’ released in 2017.  ‘The Mountain’ took the top spot this week on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and debuted at number three on the all-genre chart.
Be on the lookout for a country music newcomer!  Warner Music Nashville is signing country traditionalist and Texas native Cody Johnson.  The longtime independent artist with a huge fanbase in his home state has released six chart-topping albums and 300-million on-demand streams.  Earlier this year, “Billboard” magazine called Cody “the real thing.”
