NASHVILLE NEWS & NOTES – THURSDAY, JUNE 14, 2018!

Kenny Chesney’s upcoming album will include collaborations with Ziggy Marley and Jimmy Buffet.  The cover art for “Songs for the Saints” was released yesterday, along with the track list.  The album will be available on July 27th, with proceeds benefiting Chesney’s Love For Love City Fund, which he set up shortly after Hurricanes Irma and Maria struck the Caribbean last year.
Some of Nashville’s hottest artists are up for Teen Choice AwardsFlorida Georgia Line is in the running for Choice Music Group and Choice Collaboration for their song “Meant to Be” with Bebe RexhaMaren Morris is nominated for Choice Collaboration for her song “The Middle” with Zedd and Grey.  In the overall Choice Country Artist category, it’ll be Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett battling it out.  The 2018 Teen Choice Awards will air on FOX on August 12th.
Little Big Town is getting their own exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.  Highlights include neon signs used for the cover of the album “Painkiller,” clothes fitted with LED tube lighting worn by the group for their appearance at the 2014 CMA Awards, and the clothes worn by Karen Fairchild when she married Jimi Westbrook in Nashville in 2006.  “Little Big Town: The Power of Four” will open on June 29th.
