Dolly Parton’s classic songs will turn into a series of films that will preimere on Netflix.  Dolly made the official announcement yesterday.  She says Dixie Pixie Productions is partnering with Warner Bros. Television to produce the series.  Each installment will be based on one of Parton’s songs, and she’ll even make a few appearances.
Garth Brooks announced new music and a new tour yesterday during his weekly Facebook Live series, “Inside Studio G.”  Garth also says he’ll take part in a Q&A at the Music City Center during the CMA Fest this Saturday.  He says details on the new music and tour will be announced in the coming months.
One of the founding members of Confederate Railroad has died.  Bass player Wayne Secrest passed away after a long-fought illness.  His bandmates shared the news on Facebook over the weekend.  Wayne was 68.
