NASHVILLE NEWS & NOTES – WEDNESDAY, MAY 16, 2018!

Kenny Chesney is celebrating a major career milestone.  Kenny has two top-ten songs on the Billboard Country Airplay chart this week.  Kenny’s latest single, “Get Along,” is number 10, and his duet with David Lee Murphy, “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” is number 7.  Kenny’s 17th studio album, ‘Songs for the Saints,’ is due out on July 27th.
Luke Bryan is headed to Mexico in January for his fifth annual Crash my Playa concert series.  The four-night event will take place on the beach in Riviera Maya from January 23rd through the 26th.  Luke will headline two nights.  Additional artists and details will be announced in the coming months.  Tickets go on sale on May 23rd.
Jennifer Nettles is challenging graduates to go after what they’re passionate about.  Jennifer delivered the commencement speech to the 2018 graduating class at her alma mater, Agnes Scott College, in Decatur, Georgia.  She received her degree from the private women’s liberal arts school in 1997.
