NASHVILLE NEWS & NOTES – FRIDAY, MAY 11, 2018!

Jake Owen has been selected to host the Summer Kick-Off radio special.  The four-hour event will be held Memorial Day weekend.  It will feature summer-themed music from Owen and his friends, like Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean.  The Summer Kick-Off Special will also include a tribute to the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Country music fans have a chance to bid on personal items from Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire and Kacey Musgraves.  The celebrities donated items to the Girls Rock Camp Alliance.  It’s a nonprofit program that supports summer camps and music education for female, transgender and gender non-conforming youth.  The charity auction opened yesterday and features more than 50 items.
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are looking to move to a new area of Nashville.  Sources say the couple are completely done with the neighborhood. The decision came after her fall. Security issues also contributed to the couple’s decision to house hunt. They’ve been having a lot of issues with neighbors letting people in the community to look around and it all escalated after the fall.”
