Carrie Underwood premiered her new video last night on “American Idol!”  The clip for “Cry Pretty” featured Carrie performing the song on stage, intermixed with clips of her in the shower, in front of a makeup mirror and in bed.  “Cry Pretty” is the lead single off Carrie’s upcoming album that is due out on September 14th.
This weekend’s historic Kentucky Derby was plush with country stars.  Brooks & Dunn, Eddie Montgomery, Terri Clark, Thompson Square and many more walked the red carpet Saturday at Churchill Downs.  Justify trotted to victory on the wettest Kentucky Derby in its 144-year history.
Johnny Cash’s childhood home is now a part of the National Register of Historic Places.  The home is located in the small town of Dyess, Arkansas, near the Tennessee border.  On Friday, it was given the designation of “Farm No. 266, Johnny Cash Boyhood Home.”
