NASHVILLE NEWS & NOTES – MONDAY, APRIL 30, 2018!

Carrie Underwood, proud hockey wife of the Nashville Predators’ Mike Fisher, sang the National Anthem ahead of Game 2 last night against the Winnepeg Jets.  Carrie was the good luck charm as the Preds’ knocked off the Jets in double overtime to even their series at a game apiece.  Dierks Bentley wasn’t so lucky.  Dierks performed the anthem ahead of Game 1 which the Preds lost.  Brad Paisley, Maren Morris and Rascal Flatts have also had the honor in recent weeks.
Kenny Chesney has a new album that’s set to be released by the end of July!  It’s called, “Songs for the Saints”, and Kenny says all the songs are about “the places that save you.” The first single from the new album is called “Get Along” and it’s out now!  You can buy the album beginning July 27.
Willie Nelson celebrated his birthday yesterday.  The red-headed stranger turned 85.  Willie’s career started in the early 1960s after spending some time in the military and on-air as a radio deejay.  He released his 67th studio album, ‘Last Man Standing,’ on Friday.
