NASHVILLE NEWS & NOTES – TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 2018!

We can look forward to the world premiere of Carrie Underwood’s brand new single during the ACM Awards this upcoming Sunday.  It’s been two year’s since Carrie released a new single.  She’s set to perform the song at the awards show on April 15th.  It will also be the first time she has performed in public since her bad fall earlier this year.
Kelsea Ballerini is mourning the loss of her grandma.  She posted on Instagram Sunday night, “I lost my mother’s mother earlier this week.”  Kelsea went on to say, “It was a tough one to process, so I did as I do.”   A candle was burning in the background, and a song recorded in Kelsea’s grandma’s memory was playing.
Miranda Lambert says she was intimidated when she and Elton John performed together during the taping of his CBS special “Elton John: I’m Still Standing – A GRAMMY Salute.” Miranda said, “It’s very intimidating and terrifying to perform for Elton, who is sitting right there. And you’re hoping that you’re doing his song justice. But I think every artist probably feels the same way. We’re just thrilled to death that we were chosen to sort of represent them, and what they stand for.”  The show airs tomorrow night.
