NASHVILLE NEWS & NOTES – WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14, 2018!

Tim McGraw is poking fun at himself after a recent stage collapse in Ireland.  Tim fell to his knees during a show at the C-2-C Festival in Dublin this past weekend.  Paparazzi greeted him and wife Faith Hill at the JFK Airport in New York City and asked him about the incident.  McGraw, once again, cited dehydration.  He also joked that he needs to cut back on his workouts.
A highly-anticipated music event created by Sam Hunt is canceled.  The Nashional Music Festival was set to take place April 20th and 21st in Nashville.   Brothers Osborne, Lanco, rapper Kyle and indie-pop band Lany were among the performers scheduled for the multi-genre event.  The event’s official website cited “unforeseen circumstances” as a reason for canceling the show.
Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris and Little Big Town are among the several artists that will honor Elton John in a Grammy tribute show next month.  The event, called “Elton John: I’m Still Standing – A Grammy Salute,” will air on CBS on April 10th.  Alessia Cara, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, John Legend, Ed Sheeran and several other stars will also perform songs made famous by Elton.
