The reboot of “American Idol” on ABC was a success.  “Nielsen” says the show pulled in ten-point-three-million views during its premiere on Sunday, making it the most-watched program of the night.  “Idol” saw its highest premiere numbers during Season 6 when a whopping 37-million people tuned in.
Thomas Rhett fans were treated to a rare performance with Peyton Manning during a fundraising event in Indianapolis.  T-R sang his dad’s 1995 hit, “That Ain’t My Truck,” and brought the former QB on stage to join-in on the chorus.  The event was to raise money for the Pediatric ICU at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.
The King of Country Music is going to be the face of a Hurricane Harvey recovery campaign in Aransas County, Texas.  George Strait was recently announced as the primary voice of the “Find Yourself in Rockport-Fulton” campaign.  He’ll be voicing TV and radio ads alongside Governor Greg Abbott.
