Not long after the passing of rock legend Tom Petty, Jason Aldean appeared on Saturday Night Live and sang the Petty classic, “I Won’t Back Down.”  Now it looks like Jason is releasing his own official cover of the song.  Proceeds will benefit the victims of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.
People magazine claims Dan + Shay star Shay Mooney married former Miss Arkansas Hannah Billingsley on Friday. The ceremony took place between two oak trees on the Mooney family property in Arkansas. The couple’s 9 month-old son wore a tux. Shay performed a song he wrote for Hannah on an acoustic guitar. They are honeymooning in Mexico.
Alan Jackson, Don Schlitz and the late Jerry Reed were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in a special ceremony last night. Even though the inductees and their families found out about their nominations in April, it was still hard, at least for Jackson, to believe it was actually happening.  Alan said, “I was surprised and honored. I felt unworthy.  I’m very flattered, and at the same time, I feel like it’s a dream, like I’m not supposed to be here.”  Several former Country Music Hall of Fame inductees were also on hand including the Oak Ridge Boys, Randy Travis and Charlie Daniels,
