Dustin Lynch says he wears his cowboy hat to honor some of country’s greats.  He includes Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and Clint Black on that list.  Dustin says, “It allows me to sing some songs that other guys can’t. I wouldn’t feel right singing Cowboys and Angels if I wore a ballcap on the Grand Ole Opry stage, you know what I mean?”
We could soon be getting new music from Maren Morris.  Maren tells Billboard magazine that she is working on new music. “I’ve been writing like crazy for the past six months and plan to keep going for the next six. I’m hoping to record early next year.”
Country icon Loretta Lynn got a standing ovation last night at the launch of her new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum—and she wasn’t even there to see it!  Loretta’s new exhibit is called Blue Kentucky Girl and it opened yesterday to a crowd that included several of country’s newest females including Margo Price, Brandy Clark and Kacey Musgraves.  Loretta couldn’t be there since she is recovering from a stroke she suffered in May
