NASHVILLE NEWS & NOTES – THURSDAY, MAY 25, 2017!

The recent bombing in Manchester, England is not going to keep Maren Morris from going overseas.  Maren plans to tour despite the bombing that took place at Ariana Grande’s concert earlier this week. She posted: “We do this to connect. For just a few hours, no matter what religion, race, gender, or economic background you come from, music tethers us.  We do this for each other and that will never be stopped.”  That’s the attitude!
Dierks Bentley recently attended a Nashville Predators playoff hockey game, but couldn’t cheer because he was on vocal rest. He used a notebook to communicate with his wife and others.  Can you imagine?!!
Hockey has really caught on in the south.  So much so that Trisha Yearwood tells People magazine that her hubby Garth Brooks has turned her into a hockey fan. Trisha says, “I can’t even skate but having the stick in the middle gives you confidence that you’re not gonna fall over. Being on the road with Garth, after shows, sometimes, we would go to the local hockey rinks and they would let us put on the practice gear and play.”  My respect for the G-Man continues to grow!
