The 2017 CMT Music Awards nominations were announced today.  Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett, are both up for Female and Male “Video of the Year” honors respectively.  They’re also nominated in the stacked Video of the Year category alongside Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley and more country music legends.  The list includes a few non-country stars, too. Nick Jonas scored a nomination for CMT Performance of the Year for his collab with Rhett on “Close,” and Pink nabbed a Collaborative Video of the Year nomination for teaming up with Kenny Chesney on “Setting the World on Fire.”  You can vote for your favorite artists on CMT’s website until Monday, June 5, at 12:01 a.m. ET. The show will air live from Nashville’s Music City Center on Wednesday, June 7, at 8 p.m. ET.
The Miami Herald claims Alan Jackson is selling his Clarkesville, Georgia home for $6.4 million. It has 5 bedrooms, a bar, an outdoor bath and lakefront views.  But before you run to your mortgage banker to get a loan, keep in mind your house payments would be around $24,000 a month!
Music-News.com claims Carrie Underwood and a national sporting goods chain are teaming up to give $500,000 in grants to 100 all-girls sports teams across the U.S. Carrie says; ”Sports were a big part of my life growing up, so it’s important to me that girls across the country get those same opportunities.”
