NASHVILLE NEWS & NOTES – WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5, 2017!

There will be three new inductees into the Country Music Hall of FameAlan Jackson will be inducted as the Modern Era act.  The Veterans Era inductee is singer/songwriter/musician Jerry Reed.  The final inductee is Don Schlitz who will be inducted as the Songwriter inductee.  This year’s three inductees join 130 others in the Country Music Hall of Fame.  The official 2017 Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place later this year.
Could it be that Taylor Swift is working on a new country album?  Reports are swirling that Taylor has been seen around Nashville lately.  But Taylor does have a home in Music City and she often goes there to get away from paparazzi!  I’ll keep you posted!
Luke Bryan just made Billboard chart history with his fifth studio album, Kill the Lights. Luke has become the only artist in the 27-year history of the Billboard Country Airplay chart to achieve six No. 1 singles from an album. His current single, “Fast,” recently topped the chart, giving Luke his 18th career #1. The other five chart-topping singles off Kill the Lights include “Move,” Kick the Dust Up,” “Strip It Down,” “Home Alone Tonight” featuring Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town and “Huntin’ Fishin’ & Lovin’ Everyday.”  The album was released almost two years ago and has sold over one million copies!
