Country Music did very well at last night’s Grammy Awards.  Sturgill Simpson won for Best Country Album.  Maren Morris took home the trophy for Best Country Solo Performance for “My Church.”  Dolly Parton won her 8th Grammy in the category of Best Country Duo or Group Performance for her duet with Pentatonix on a remake of “Jolene.”   Best Country Song went to Lori McKenna for writing Tim McGraw‘s hit “Humble and Kind.”
According to a commercial that aired during the Grammy Awards last night, Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley will return to host the 52nd Annual ACM Awards, once again after their debut together last year.  This will be Dierks’ second year while Luke is a fifth-year veteran host, first co-hosting alongside Blake Shelton in 2013.  The 52nd Annual ACM Awards happen Sunday, April 2nd at 9pm on CBS!
They’re falling like flies in Nashville!  Entertainment tonight is reporting that Cassadee Pope has gotten engaged to her boyfriend Rian Dawson.  Cassadee joins Kelsea Ballerini, Sam Hunt, William Michael Morgan and Kacey Musgraves as some of country’s stars that got engaged so far in 2017!
