Miranda Lambert is queen of the critics. Miranda tops the list of artists on the Nashville Scene’s 17th annual Country Music Critics’ Poll. In addition to artist of the year and female vocalist of the year, Miranda’s The Weight of These Wings was voted album of the year and “Vice” was elected single of the year.  Maren Morris won in the new act category and was No. 4 in the artist of the year field. Her song “My Church” and her album Hero claimed the No. 2 and No. 5 slots, respectively, on the single and album tally.  Brothers Osborne also made the list.  This year’s Nashville Scene Country Music Critics’ Poll represents the views of 89 voting journalists from North America and beyond.
Keith Urban and Little Big Town have been tapped to take part in Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of The Bee Gees.  Other artists participating include Celine Dion, Andra Day, Pentatonix and John Legend.  The show, which will be shot on February 14 in Los Angeles, will air later this year on CBS.
The Grammy Awards are coming up and Kelsea Ballerini has yet to pick out a dress to wear to the show!  According to People magazine, Kelsea says “I just got back from Australia. And so now I’m gonna work out really hard for two and a half weeks and then think about dresses — because I just ate all the food.”  The Grammy Awards Show will air Sunday, February 12 at 8pm.
