Do you travel Route 56 between Windber and Pleasantville? Find out about plans for potential changes to the road during a public meeting this Thursday evening.
PennDOT will conduct an open house and plans display to inform the public of the proposed Route 56 Safety Study between Windber (Somerset County) and Pleasantville (Bedford County). This study assessed traffic, safety and driving conditions between these areas. Potential improvements have been determined and will be discussed.
The plans display will introduce the project and allow the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed project and traffic control, as well as comment on potential environmental and community effects. Anyone with knowledge of historic resources in the project area should attend this meeting. Representatives from PennDOT will be available to answer questions and receive input on the project.
The meeting will be held in an open house format on Thursday, December 15, 2016, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Windber Elementary School Cafeteria, 421 Sugar Maple Drive, Windber, PA 15963.
The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. Any person requiring special aid or additional information regarding the meeting may contact the project manager, Alice Hammond by phone 814-696-7172 or by e-mail email@example.com.
