Did you see the video for “Forever Country” last night?  The history-making video featuring 30 of country music’s biggest stars premiered last night on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.  The video was shot entirely over three days during last summer’s CMA Music Festival and uses green-screen technology to accomplish the impossible.  The Bridgestone Arena’s CMA Awards stage materializes behind Vince Gill. The Ryman Auditorium comes together as Reba sings, all building toward the end, where all 30 stars surround Dolly Parton in a field as she delivers the final line of “I Will Always Love You.”  If you’re wondering if a live performance of the mashup that also includes Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again” could be a part of the 50th Annual CMA Awards November 2 on ABC, CMA CEO Sarah Trahern says she doesn’t believe that’s likely. But as the video proves — nothing is impossible.  If you haven’t seen the video, click the link to watch!

This week, Jason Aldean debuts at number one on both the country albums chart and the all-genre Billboard 200 ranking. That’s the first time this year a country album has been number one on the all-genre tally. The last to accomplish that feat was Chris Stapleton’s Traveller, which shot to the top spot after last year’s CMA Awards.

Charlie Daniels will celebrate the opening of his new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum with an interview and performance in the CMA Theater on Saturday, October 29 at 2 p.m. The exhibit, called “Million Mile Reflections,” opens this Friday.
