Michael Phelps Ties Record

The Summer Olympics in Rio have been another great run for swimmer Michael Phelps.  In fact, he broke a record that goes back 2,168 years.  After Phelps won the 200m butterfly and earned his twelfth individual gold medal Tuesday night, he tied himself with Leonidas of Rhodes for the most in Olympic history.

Who is Leonidas?  He was a sprinter and won his last gold back in 152 B.C.

Phelps competes tonight and could surpass our forgotten Olympia for good.
