The stars will be out at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday, August 30, as the Academy of Country Music records the 10th Annual ACM Honors, which will air as a TV special for the very first time this year.  Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Cam, Maren Morris, Cole Swindell, and Keith Urban will sing, with a host of other celebrities set to appear as well.  Lady Antebellum will host the event, which pays tribute to the special honorees and off-camera winners from the 51st ACM Awards. The two-hour special premieres Friday, September 9 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.

The Band Perry is proudly carrying the torch for their country in Rio. Earlier this year, the U.S. Olympic team chose the trio’s “Live Forever” as their official song, and Wednesday night, the siblings will perform at the Team USA House on Ipanema Beach in Brazil.  Look for the band Thursday morning on the Today show where they’ll perform on the plaza starting at 7 a.m. on NBC.

Garth Brooks has announced he has parted ways with his longtime record label RCA Nashville.  The G-man plans to release his next album, and possibly his third Christmas album, on his own record label, Pearl Records, in the fall.  He is also working on a deal with a streaming partner and a retail partner, as well!
