Craig Morgan has cancelled the remainder of his July concert dates as his family mourns the loss of his son, Jerry Greer.  State investigators say there’s some physical evidence to suggest the recent high school graduate may have collided with his friend, who was also involved in the boating accident, but was not seriously hurt. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency also believes the fact that Jerry was not wearing a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket may have contributed to his death. Agents say instead he was wearing a lighter, less bulky vest that wouldn’t have kept him afloat.  Friends and family will pay their respects Friday at a visitation in Craig’s hometown of Dickson, Tennessee. Services will be Saturday morning in Nashville. He’ll be laid to rest on the family farm in Dickson County.

The mysterious countdown to what seems to be new music from Miranda Lambert continues in the country music trades. A photograph of a vinyl record with the caption, “33 – 45 -78,” with the album’s label emblazoned with Miranda’s crossed double-winged pistols logo appeared in several music trade publications.  Last month at CMA Music Festival, Miranda revealed she’s been hard at work on new music, with a new single expected sometime this summer.

Seems as though Cam had a problem at the Grand Ole Opry earlier this week!  Cam tweeted to her fans that she somehow got her heel stuck in the “historic wood of The Circle” at the Opry on Tuesday night. Definitely makes you wonder if this is a first or if other ladies have had a little heel trouble when performing on the famous stage?
