Well…the worst has been confirmed…The body of Craig Morgan’s 19-year-old son, Jerry, was recovered last night. One eyewitness reported he was still wearing his life jacket when he was found.  Jerry and a friend were being pulled behind a ski boat on Sunday when they hit a wake. Jerry’s friend resurfaced, but he never did.  Craig released a statement through his publicist thanking everyone for their support and asking for privacy during this difficult time.

When CMA Music Festival:  Country’s Night to Rock hits the air, superstar collaborations will be front and center.  Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge team up to both host and perform. Luke Bryan unites with Keith Urban, while Little Big Town brings Pharrell Williams to the CMA Stage. Rascal Flatts and Maren Morris mash up their hits, as do Lady Antebellum and CamDierks Bentley and Elle King perform their hit duet, “Different for Girls,” with Chris Young and Cassadee Pope doing the same. Martina McBride takes on an Aerosmith classic with frontman Steven Tyler, while Hank Williams Jr. brings a Bocephus standard back to life with Chris Janson and Justin MooreAs if that weren’t enough, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, and Carrie Underwood all turn in solo performances during the three-hour special.  CMA Music Festival:  Country’s Night to Rock airs Wednesday, August 3 at 8 p.m. ET.

Randy Houser will celebrate the number one success of “We Went” with a country-sized party at the World Famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge tonight in downtown Nashville.
