Tonight, Brad Paisley joins a who’s-who of celebrities from West Virginia, including actress Jennifer Garner, in a telethon to help raise money to help the flood-ravaged state. Billy Ray Cyrus, will co-host the show.  The Rebuild West Virginia telethon will be broadcast from 7-9 p.m. ET, with a live stream of the event also available. Donations will be directed to RebuildWestVirginia.com, to help flood victims through the American Red Cross.

Trace Adkins has been honored with the 2016 Dwight D. Eisenhowser Award. The country star received the honor from the National Defense Industrial Association for his “long-standing and extraordinary support and advocacy for America’s servicemen and -women.”  The Dwight D. Eisenhower Award was created in 1979 and is given to one individual each year who “best reflects the late former president’s beliefs and support for a strong national security and industrial base.”

Sooner or later, most country artists do it…and as strange as it seems, it usually happens around this time of year.  Chris Young will release a Christmas album this holiday season, which most likely means he is in the studio now recording it.  It gives meaning to “Christmas in July!”
