Tim McGraw took home the big award of the night at Wednesday’s 2016 CMT Music Awards, broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Tim won Video of the Year honors for “Humble and Kind.” Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett and Little Big Town walked off with belt-buckle trophies for Female, Male and Duo/Group of the Year, respectively.  The night’s other award winners included Chris Stapleton with Breakthrough Video for “Fire Away” and Carrie for CMT Performance of the Year for “Smoke Break,” from CMT Instant Jam.

I told you Dolly Parton had renewed her vows on her 50th wedding anniversary and she planned to sell the photos for charity.  Well…it turns out she has even more surprises in store. Not only will there be official pictures of her famously reclusive husband Carl Dean, Dolly’s also gotten him to agree to an interview. Both will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.  Dolly has previously said she plans to give at least part of the money to her Imagination Library, which sends books to children all over the world. We should learn more once the auction-winner is revealed.

Country’s stars were doing their part for charity during this year’s CMA Music Fest!  Gary Allan raised more than $25,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, with his annual Fan Club Party at Nashville’s Rocketown and Tuesday’s 26th Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game raised more than $200,000 to help fight cancer.
