The US Navy Blue Angels were practicing over Smyrna, Tennessee, Thursday afternoon, when one of the jets crashed, killing the pilot– and Hunter Hayes was on hand to witness the tragedy!  The plane went down around 3 p.m., and Hunter was standing by to go up with a member of the squadron.  Hunter’s publicist said “it happened right in front of them.”   Hunter Tweeted, “The tragedy today with the Blue Angels is so devastating.  My heart and prayers are with the pilot’s family and the entire Blue Angels team.”  Obviously, Hunter’s flight and the Blue Angels’ weekend demonstration were cancelled.

You won’t be able to hear Little Big Town’s full album Wanderlust until it officially comes out next Friday…but you’ll be able to download half of the album if you pre-order it when it goes on sale Friday. LBT is pre-releasing four songs from the new album which is a bit of a departure from country.  The project was produced by Pharrell Williams— and they realize it’s definitely not what you’d ordinarily expect from them. The band continues to work on their next country effort, which is expected later this year.
