The CMA Music Festival 2016 is happening next week in Nashville and the Country Music Association is rolling out two new daytime stages, both located inside Nashville’s new Ascend Amphitheater.  The AT&T Skyview Stage will serve as the main stage with Chris Young kicking things off Wednesday.  Old Dominion, Michael Ray, Frankie Ballard, Ashley Monroe, Sara Evans, Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott, Cassadee Pope, Maddie & Tae and Jana Kramer take the stage throughout the festival.  The second new performance area, the Budweiser Acoustic Stage, will be active while the main stage is changing acts.  The CMA Music Festival 2016 starts next Wednesday and  runs through Sunday, June 12th.

They’ve been on tour together, recorded a song together, and now Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge are teaming up once again. This morning on Good Morning America, the two revealed they’ll host this year’s ABC primetime special from the CMA Music Festival.  CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock tapes next week in Nashville, with the three-hour musical extravaganza set to air Wednesday, August 3 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Country music legend Randy Travis will be the recipient of the 2016 CRB Artist Career Achievement Award. Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. will give the soon-to-be Country Music Hall of Famer the honor during its June 22 ceremony at the Nashville Omni.
