Dolly Parton is finally getting married!  Well…sort of!  She married Carl Dean 50 years ago when Dolly first moved to Nashville.  But Dolly and Carl never had a ceremony!  They were married in secret at the request of her then record label.  So, on Monday, Dolly and Carl will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary and will also take the opportunity to have the ceremony they never had!  There’s a possibility the world may get its best look ever at the mysterious Carl Dean after the anniversary, as Dolly is planning to sell the photos to raise money for her nonprofit that sends books to children all over the world, the Imagination Library.

Miranda Lambert is closing the Oklahoma location of her store “The Pink Pistol” and will move the entire operation to her other store in her hometown of Lindale, Texas.  Miranda says keeping all her non-musical ventures in one location just seems to make sense.  Her MuttNation Foundation, which she founded with her mom, is also based there.

The band that gave a rebirth to country music in the 1980’s will be honored with a new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville!   “Alabama:  Born Country” opens August 25 and runs through June of next year.
