The last time Garth Brooks played in New York City it was the massive Central Park concert in 1997.  So, when Garth decided to return to the Big Apple, he knew it would have to be a setting as big or bigger for the return trip!  That’s why Garth will perform at Yankee Stadium for a massive show on July 9.  Tickets will go on sale Friday morning at 10am!

Veteran country music singer and songwriter Guy Clark, who wrote decades of hits for some of country’s biggest stars, has died at age 74.  Though he released 14 studio albums since 1975, he is best known and revered as a songwriter.  His songs have been recorded by a who’s-who of country music – from legends like Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Ricky Skaggs, The Highwaymen and more, to modern stars including Brad Paisley and Kenny  Chesney.  Clark was a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.  Funeral arrangements are pending, according to his publicist.

Jake Owen, Mickey Guyton, Nashville’s Jonathan Jackson and LOCASH are just some of the players who’ve been added to the roster for this year’s City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game June 7 at Music City’s First Tennessee Park.  The game is part of CMA Music Festival happening June 9 – 12 in Nashville!
