Women See Men Who Are Good At Storytelling As More Attractive

The way to a woman’s heart is apparently through good stories. New findings from the University of North Carolina and the University of Buffalo prove it. Study participants were given a photo and a short biography of a potential mate, which included subtle information about the person’s ability to tell stories. The data revealed that while men didn’t care whether or not women could tell stories, women were attracted to a man with storytelling talent when looking for a long-term partner. When participants were asked whether the person described in the profile would make a good husband or wife, and both men and women rated the profiles of those who were good storytellers as being the best spouses. Scientists believe women are drawn to storytellers because in ancient times, the skill may have indicated leadership qualities, which would mean a man would have been more likely to have the resources needed to protect their families.
