Today is National Pi Day!

Math enthusiasts know all about it, and the rest of us are hoping for apple or cherry pie.

But today, March 14, is Pi Day.  Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. It’s a number that never ends!  But if you wanted to know… To 31 decimal places, it’s 3.1415926535897932384626433832795.

Some people celebrate Pi Day with specials on PIE. There’s even a national pizza chain that will give you 3.14 years of pizza if you can solve certain mathematical challenges.

For the rest of us, we’ll buy our own slice of apple, peach or cherry pie… or pizza pie.  I made a pumpkin pie last night, so maybe I’ll have some of that!  Happy Pi Day!
