The Band Perry and their record label Big Machine Label Group have mutually parted ways according to several sources. The band posted on Facebook “We have made a mutual decision to bring our working relationship to a close. “We are grateful for 6 years of the big moments and great strides we made and will carry that foundation forward as we begin the next leg of our journey.” The trio also assured fans their will definitely be new music in their future.

 

The performance lineup for this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards just keeps growing. Co-host Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Sam Hunt and Kelsea Ballerini are now set to take the stage, along with previously announced nominees Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line and Cam. Expect more performers and presenters to be announced as the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards draws closer. Luke Bryan and Dierks will emcee the show live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3.

Country music legend Merle Haggard is back in the hospital. This time, the 78-year old Haggard is fighting a case of double pneumonia. Haggard’s publicist says Merle’s doctors want him to take another month off to fully recover. The Country Music Hall of Famer plans to return to the road in April.
